I journal daily. And most often times it’s not in complete sentences.
I have the Simple Elephant Planner. It’s literally (my daughter’s favorite word) very simple to follow.
Each week has two pages, 7 little sections with 7 little lines for you to write in. Get it? There are 7 days in the week. You can’t go wrong here.
Most of the time I am just bullet journaling. It’s a system described as a combination of “mindfulness, productivity, and self-discovery.” (Bulletjournal.com) Or for me just lazy and quick writing of things I did for the day – bad & good, mostly good!
And at the top of each week is 1) Goals for this weeks, 2) Success, 3) What I can do better.
These are good for preplanning and reflection. Or just drawing weird things.
I preplan for the next week in the weekend before. And every morning, I start off with writing down the Bible verse for the day and my blood sugar reading. And during the day, I will add things to it. If the day gets too busy, I will add things the next day.
Amazingly, every week has been filled.
From James Clear “If you’re having trouble sticking to a new habit, try a smaller version until it becomes automatic. Do less than you’re capable of, but do it more consistently than you have before.”
This is how I measure my days now. The successes in my days have more often overtaken the challenges.
Until next time.
